  The wine is bright deep ruby fading to a paler ruby on the rim with watery meniscus. Viscosity is medium+, there is no evidence of sediment or gas.

On the nose the wine is clean. The intensity of the aromas are powerful. Lots of ripe or even tart black fruits such as plum, blackberries, black cherries, and a bit of red cherries as well. The oak is showing quite nicely, there is vanilla and smoke. You can pick up very herbal, and even vegetal aromas as well. You can feel the wet leaves, the earth, a bit of compost.

On the palate the wine is dry, medium acidity, medium or medium+ tannins. Ripe tannins, very elegant. Alcohol is medium, the body is a good medium as well.
  
  You can taste the same fruits, dominated by black plum, black and red cherries. You can taste the spices, herbs, vegetal notes, and the oak as well.(vanilla and smoke)

The balance is great, the finish is at least medium+, and it is quite complex. Overall this is a really nice wine considering the price point.(which was around 35euros for the magnum!)

  Great QPR. Usually not a big fan of Merlot dominated wine but this wine was great tonight. Paired with creamy pasta, some pizza and salmon steak.

  Medium bodied, soft, elegant and silky, fresh and fruity, the wine has sweet red fruits with just a touch of licorice in the finish. You can drink this for pleasure on release.
