Not quite as good as the last few bottles, but delicious. The noise is smoke and raw meat with a bit of tar. A sweet note behind the fruit with a spiciness lingering. Modest tannins, short finish.

Even better than last bottle. Tar and raw meat on the nose. One could just smell it for minutes because it's so mellow and lucious. Palate is fruity but darker fruit than before, and more meatiness, and a good balance of acidity. Moderate tannins kick in and extend the finish. A really remarkable product of grenache and syrah, etc. I'm extending the drink date by a year, because this is just not peaking yet.

Last bottle. Decanted for 1 h. Transparent ruby. A - beautiful high toned red/black fruits, bark, umami/sous bois, herbs, a bit of mint. P: Red/black fruits, earth, bark, minerals w tannins in the midpalate. Elegant mouthfeel. F: Fruit, minerals, earth and herbs. Went very well with slow cooked brisket.

Tar and raw meat on the nose. Palate is bright fruit, more meat and a nice balance of acidity. Moderate tannins kick in and extend the finish in a lovely way.

Similar to the bottle last month -- a hearty, rich, great QPR wine. A little off its peak, but darn good.
