Quite particular! I am always surprise when I drink château des tours! On the palate, The wine is always a little bit flat, on the palate there’s a big hole! It is round, but not so much acidity. It’s a peculiar wine! Nice nose! A little bit oxidated Not for everybody l imagine!

Dinner @ Atera - both pairings (Atera - 77 Worth Street in NYC): Off the standard wine list at Atera. I continue to be impressed with everything this producer does and this wine was no different. It's amazing how he seems to be one of the few who really get acidity in Rhone whites and how nice that works. Hints of honey and maybe orange peel and little white flowers. It's not quite as complex as some of the higher level cuvees, but it is quite tasty and a great food wine.

Charleston V - the wooden anniversary; 11/6/2019-11/10/2019 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): Continues to be a wine that I quite enjoy. Drank this on the heels of two champagnes and as a result it came across as a bit more full bodied. White fleshy fruit. Reminded me more of a standard white rhone which isn't a bad thing as that's one of my favorite categories. All enjoyable.

Strong floral notes, some apple and melon, but more mineral notes and light acidity than fruitiness. No oak, or at least not what I can tell.

This 100% Grenache blanc is full-bodied with intense flavors of spice, oily exotic fruits, honeysuckle with low acidity and slight oxidative notes.
