Similar to prior note, with green apple slightly more pronounced and a bit of a heavier feel. This is a food wine for sure and not a a light aperitif. Nicely paired with crab cakes.

Tasted at the winery. This is 50% chardonnay, 40% pinot noir and 10% pinot meunier. A lovely clear gold appearance, with brioche and strawberries on the nose. The palate is quite rich, more brioche, biscuity, with a slight sweetness. It's had 5-6 years on lees. This would suit foie gras and roast turkey. It's well priced at the winery (£30), but apparently retails in New York restaurants for $150. Excellent wine.

A rich sparkler, with a nutty/cheesy nose and a full, toasty brioche flavor up front that dips to green apple and pear on the finish.
