Although this is a vintage "champagne", the English definition of vintage clearly allows a proportion of other vintages. According to the product technical sheet from the producer website this is: 60/32/8 Chardonnay/Pinot Noir/Pinot Meunier 15% from reserve wines as allowed by EU/UK regulations (3% 2009, 5% 2010, 3% 2011, 4% 2013) Dosage 8g/l Disgorgement date not specified.
Anyway, after all that, this is a wine that evolves with time open. Initially it has a slightly yeasty nose, with a little bite and refreshing crispness to it on the palate. But it quite rapidly becomes much softer, the nose muted, the palate with faint notes of apples, but feeling rather thin. and there's a slightly sweet cloyingness that persists on the finish.
This would be an excellent safe party fizz - but it's rather lightweight and bland to be more than that.
Just about OK QPR at the ~US$31 that I paid.

Crisp, dry and still a bit austere. Not nutty or brioche-like. Hint of lemon. Quite fine. Will probably soften and become more approachable as it mellows with age.

Very nice experience. A must try. Way better than expected and definitely a very well crafted wine. I had no idea there was English "champagne" and I must say it was a very pleasant wine that I will have again.

Traditional Champenoise blend: 60% Chardonnay, 32% Pinot Noir, 8% Pinot Meunier, aged for 3 years on lees. Lots of sparkle in this, pushing through these bubbles were some light stone fruits, pastry and nutty notes, however, I found the bubbles a little too aggressive for now, this needs time.
