Initially presents a nice nose of concentrated grape juice or berry mash. Medium-full body, medium acidity, reasonably long finish. Tannins have softened to the point of being very approachable. This isn't the most complex wine out there, but it's very comfortable and reliable as a full bodied black fruit mountain cab. If you have a chance to visit in person, you should! Feels like you're visiting a friend at home. One of the most kid and pet friendly wineries I've been to.

On the palate: blackberry, jam, currants, clove/pepper. Lots of tannins still.
Paired with dry-aged ribeyes seasoned with just salt & pepper. Probably needed something with bigger flavor; this is a big, juicy flavor bomb and really overpowered the meat. Good now but I’ll let my others sit; this one should age quite well, and next time will pair it with something spicier/bolder.

Two hour decant.
