  • Ungefär samma noter som för ett drygt år sedan. Aromerna av bär och körsbär finns där även om de är under utfasning.

  • Pale Garnet

Medium(+) intensity, developing aromas of ripe candied cherry, candied raspberry, red plum, licorice, rose, violet, tea leaf, gravel, spice box, sarsaparilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, kirsch, sage.

Dry, medium(+) acid, medium alcohol, medium(+) body, medium(+) fine-grained gritty and rustic tannins, medium(+) intense flavors of red cherry, raspberry, black cherry, white pepper, sage, rose, violet, vanilla bean, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking spice, kirsch, sarsaparilla, leather, gravel, and spice box. The wine has a medium(+), cherry cola-like finish.

Quality: This is a Very Good wine. The finish is less integrated, clunkier, and more linear than the previous wine. With age and refined tannins, this wine could be of outstanding quality.

Aging: This wine is suitable for Aging. Although the tannins have softened to medium(+), they are still quite grippy and rather rustic. Further aging should become better integrated with more tertiary development while leaving enough primary flavor to keep the wine fresh.

  • No note taken during dinner but this is still to young. Was starting to flesh out by the end of dinner, four hours after being double decanted. Still lean and slightly aggressive with chalky tannins and relatively high acid. Show lovely fruit, lots of balsamic character, and a tarry base note. Straight-forward and with a certain sense of polish, but lacking the reassured sense of elegance these wines usually have. This will improve, having both the balance and stuffing to do so well, but I will try and hold off until 2026 for my next bottle. Not unpleasant to drink, but neither ready.

  • Rubinrød. Dekantert 45 min.
