Plain out gorgeous, mature wine. There is so much going on here in terms of tertiary aromas and flavors, almonds, honeyed fruit, flowers, minerals, etc but incredibly, underneath, there is an undercurrent of citrus that turns more prominent with air and that together with the acidity is what keeps this wine fresh and alive. Has not changed much over the last 3 years. Phenomenal.

Great match with the Ascutney Mountain cheese from VT. This hasn't moved at all in the 3 years I've been following this wine. The wine is mature and very complex with flavors of honeyed fruit, almonds, marzipan, orange peel and minerals. It took a while for Ea and Jim to dig this, but when they did, they digged it big. Great showing last night.

This bottle had more of a sherry feel than the previous one. (Sigh, this is the last bottle one in my cellar.) Paired with a saffron fish stew and olive bread. Incredible. So complex - starting with the entrancing nose.

Pleasantly oxidized- lots of almonds. Black olives and yeast.

Mature, but not going anywhere anytime soon. Dark golden color. Honeyed and nutty with a Sherry feel to it. Racy minerality. Good stuff.
