Cherry fruit to the nose. Doesn't show much Syrah varietal to me. Soft fruit through the mid palate with some not so elegant tannins on the back. Very interesting because it really doesn't show varietal character to me.

Day 2 - 100% Syrah. First made in 1975 - this is Sant Antimo DOC wine. Sees French Oak. Balsamic and black raspberry aromas. Little herbal quality. 10K btls made a year. Little lean in the core, ripping acids. Mild, silty tannin. Nice, but not singing.

With a little muscle and game to the nose. And soft on the palate with a touch of earth.
Apparently there is a perfect 7 acre area that is great for Syrah. 1 year in French oak. This is the only one that sees French. There is no new oak at the winery.

With some earth in there, and dark brunello like fruit. Just opened, power packed and tightly wound.

Tuscan Syrah is not a thing. But on the nose that's not bad. Has some cherry on the nose and palate.
