This is the best of the 10-12 wines we’ve had over the years from Cameron Hughes. Most have been fair to good; this wine is very good and shows more pedigree than the others. The fruit is fantastic and there is more complexity on the palate than is often the case in his reds. My only complaint would be that the tannins are fairly drying on the finish. As such, we liked this best with food tonight.

Very earthy. Subtle tennis and some black berry. Very enjoyable. High is alcohol

Drinking very well today. Lush fruit, tart black berries, moderate acidity.

Still lots of tannin and dark bright fruit. Recommend decanting for an hour or more.
