  Deep golden color, ripe sweet pineapple and melon. Notes of butterscotch, caramel, and integrated toasty oak. Acid is low and a faint flicker in the background. Super rich and concentrated. Lacks a little bit of the freshness and verve from other bottlings and vintages. Certainly delicious, but I would recommend to drink it up if you have it.

  Another serious keeper is the 16 Durell. This wine has more of the estate’s past signature of warm hazelnut and singed brown sugar. It does possess balancing acids and really nice depth of sun kissed stone fruit. Ripe as all get out, but no botrytis notes or overwrought buttery ones. Really in a similar class to Aubert
