Orange, bright red. Clear indications of age - also in the bouquet. Dry, med+ acid, med(-) tannin, med body and intensity. Light mouthfeel, not particularily dense. Med finish. My guess was an older Burgundy on village level. Was I surprised? A bit.
Drink.
My notes: Rose petals, mint, camphor, cherries, almonds, cumin, coriander and pepper.

Wow this was good. Tasted blind in a line-up of Burgundies, and it was up there with some of the best wines of the eveing. Super pure red berries, very elegant, full of finesse. Some herbal notes, also some crushed flowers and some underwood "Burgundy-ish" kind of tone too. Medium bodied, with excellent depth, medium-high acidity providing tension and freshness and medium+ tannin that is superbly silky. Good length. A very complete, elegant and classy Pinot Noir of the highest level.

Translucent color. Expressive of red fruit, spices, sous bois. Wonderfully elegant palate. A Ballerina of a Pinot. Congratulations to Germany and especially Ahr (near Bonn) where I hold lovely memories of racing at the Nürburgring back in the days.

What it lacked in weight, it made up for in its finesse. Ethereal bomb. Drink it slowly as every glass would give you a totally different experience.
