Drank over 2 days. Drank 1/2 on day 1 and corked. Day 2 was slightly better. Very nice one day 1 with good balance and and a fruit fwd but not over the top profile. Wine filled out on day 2 with increased density. If opening now give it some air and you wont be disappointed

This ripe and woodsy Cabernet is still a work in progress, with a tart undertone that may reflect it being drawn from younger vines. This wine suffered from being being tasted next to a 2015 Memento Mori LPV, which was firing on all cylinders (and then some) tonight. Next to the Memento, the La Bam seemed almost shallow and rustic (something that corrected itself on the second day, it must be said). I have no idea how a La Verdad would have fared - one of my favorite wines ever, at least a few years ago - but the La Bam was a distant second tonight.
Dark purple in color (with more cloudiness than the Memento) and full in body, the wine offered aromas of black cherry, mocha, nutmeg, and cedar. The wine was more sweet than the Memento, with notes of cherry liqueur, menthol, and pine needles, though the finish was more tannic and brief. 14.9% alcohol. This is tasty, but it's not complicated. Decant at least 2-3 hours. Far better on second day, when it integrated and deepened. 93-94 at the moment, with upside in 2022 or later.

Decanted an hour, in a nice relatively soft place at the moment.
