This has aged in an interesting manner. I first tasted this wine maybe 10 years ago and its fruit was still fresh and bright. Now the fruit has a more mature maybe even a stewed nature to it. Parker gave it a 90 when it issued saying it had black cherry and raspberry aromas and a dark berry palate. He also suggested drinking " in 2-4 years " which would be maybe 2010-2012 depending on when he wrote the review. So here we are in 2023 and the freshness has been replaced by a nose of camphor and cedar and the fruit exhibits blackberry as well as prune but is still wonderful to drink. This blend of syrah, Grenache and carignan Spanish grapes is worth both drinking young and old.

Nothing special. Very nice bouquet of cherry, moss, and a strong oakiness. The bouquet was better than the taste--the wine had no staying power. First taste was very strong and slightly peppery, but it didn't linger a bit. It's a burger/pizza/Italian carryout-night wine, at best. Do not serve at a dinner party with great food.
