The "estate" line is the next step (classic line being the first one). This is solid, potent, very well balanced, mineral with subtle lemon flavours, nice partner for my salad that night.

Excellent riesling. Pale lemon in colour. On the nose, striking bitter green apple intertwined with sweet red apple, pear, lemon and honeysuckle. Classic petrol fumes thanks to the age and a smokey flintiness. Acidity is high, fresh as a daisy. Flavours of apple and pear shine bright on a mineral canvas. Body is elegantly light. The finish is expectedly long and clean. Drink now, tomorrow, the next day or in 12 years if you want...

Served ice cold, crisp apple, pear sweetness, nice balance. Fruit still fresh , slightly mineral underlying. Easy and enjoyable.

MNB: Riesling and RS: (blind)
Pale straw.
Strong reduction and notable TDN/petrol - shower curtain.
1g RS, 12.5% alcohol, high+ acid. Squeaky clean.
Guess: Based on the structure, cleanness, and TDN, Australian Riesling - Eden Valley, 2016.
Actually 3.3g RS - 2012 hugel riesling
Analysis: This is a really austere, poor example of Alsace Riesling. I’d expect more ripeness, more complexity even from AOP.
