Easy and quite round wine right now. On the palate there is a sharp acidity that makes the wine refreshing and long. It is also tannic and at the end it lacks balance and serenity. Surely Jefferson deserved a lot more ...
Fácil y bastante redondo en estos momentos. En boca sobresale una puntiaguda acidez que ocasiona que el vino sea refrescante y largo. Además es tánico y al final le falta equilibro. Jefferson se merecía bastante más ... seguramente.

This wine opens with a lovely nose of ripe red and black fruits and some spices, perhaps slight licorice. Very attractive, if only medium bodied.
The palate excels with a great balance of fruit, acid, light tannin and integrated oak. Its ripe and fruity but I think this primary fruit is to be expected at this age. Its not "sweet" and there is good acidity to carry the flavours to be a useful length with food. We had BBQ Pork Ribs and it was gorgeous at this stage.
Perhaps there is not a lot of cellaring potential because it lacks a strong tannin backbone but the fruit and acid is great so it should be good for 3-5 years. The wine is very enjoyable now but perhaps a little low on the PQV slope though.
We had their Merlot a few days ago but I like this Cab Sauv much more.
