Deep ruby. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant, black plum, green pepper, black pepper, licorice, violet, cedar, clove, vanilla, prune, dried fruit, cigar box. Dry but perhaps a touch of residual sugar. High acidity, high fine-grained tannins, high (perhaps too high?) alcohol. Full bodied. Long finish. Outstanding.

I last tasted this 2.5 years ago, and it is still showing very primary at this stage, really incredible for the price and compared to The Bard which I had a few weeks ago, which is a similar style, I personally prefer One Point Five (Don't shoot me). I find this wine has just a little more freshness which was missing from The Bard.
Aromas of creme de cassis, black cherry, blackcurrant, bakers chocolate, mocha, cedar, baking spices and fresh herbs. The palate was rich, lush yet vibrant with dark lush fruit flooding the palate, along with bitter chocolate, mineral and spice, the mid-palate was velvety yet had polished tannins and great structure which lead to lingering slightly spicy finish. This wine was all about the fruit, great structure and pushes the limits on what Stag's leap can do without going over the top. 95+

Great style and aromas. Crowd favorite at a tasting of 14. Blackberry, creme de cassis and oak spice. In a good place. 93
