Consumed over 2 days, note from day 2. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with aromas of dried cherry, plum, clove, and cedar with floral undertones of violet and rose. Palate: Dry, medium acid and tannin, high alcohol (14.5%), medium+ body and intensity, with flavors of dried cherry, cranberry, and charred wood with hints of vanilla and medium+ finish.
Overall very good wine with good complexity, length, and intensity. The fruit overpowers the acids and tannins throwing the balance off a bit. It's bigger than your typical Pinot and the wood treatment is quite noticeable.

I think this is still fairly rough around the edges so it should get better with time hopefully but it is intense and rich... the previous comments about a Syrah like palate are fair. However I enjoyed this wine... a lot of black fruit and extracted notes while being juicy with a long finish. I hope my 2nd bottle ages well as I plan to give it some time in the cellar.

Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined), note from day 2. Nose; Medium expressiveness, sour cherry, milk chocolate, and spice. Palate: Medium-full bodied, cherry and raspberry attack, creamy mouth-feel, good acid back-bone, gamey and mineral notes join in the back-end. Finish: Medium length dominated by dark red fruit and spice. Nice wine but drinks more like a nice Syrah then a typical pinot noir.

A lighter style, with an old-world earthiness.
