Very nice nose. Lot of berries. Strawberries, raspberries, cherries and some christmas spices as well. Hohohoo! Some saltiness and minerals in the finish to make it more interesting. This feels very fresh. Cranberries?
This is not something I'm accustomed to but it grows on me. 88-90.

This producer is really hitting some sweet spots with me! for the price, this is very good. We tried it without knowing what varietals went into this blend and our guess was that it was a blend of some rather structured gamay or trousseau with some cold climate Grenache. It has that iron like, cranberry tanginess but also some undeniable raspberry sweetness to it. Nothing for the long haul I suspect but just plain great the frist night after popping the cork. We were right about the Grenache, but the other varietals (about a third totally) is Mourvèdre and Cinsault: a cape blend. juicy and fresh but not without body. versatile with food I would say.

Very light, lacking overt flavours, dry with a tannin finish at the end. Maybe it needs to mature? Not worth the money otherwise.
