  Blind Tasting of Syrah vs Cab: Cassis, plum, violets. Soft, subtle tannins. Luscious mouthfeel and a good finish.
  
  The cassis! This wine was an excellent blend of nose, palate, tannins and finish.

  I quite enjoyed the 2016 Darioush Cabernet. This wine is still quite tight yet very powerful. It has a myriad of flavor that came out over two days of drinking however it lacks clarity. The flavors are there and classic but the precision that is needed to pick up on the subtlies of leather, oak, fruits, etc really were hard to seperate and masked by some alcoholic heat. On the second day the oak was more forward and the fruit took a decided artificial cherry note. Not bad but not my favorite at this moment, wait 3-5 years. 93+

  Supreme wine. Opened 2.5 hours prior to ribeye dinner. Layers of complexity. Enough tannins to last another 8-10 years.
