punches above its weight. my wife and i had this with a grilled rib eye and thought it was terrific. very compelling QPR. good fruit; some cherry and raspberry and dark chocolate. tannins are a bit chunky but fine with a nice steak. happy to have had this

Ox-blood in color, full bodied. Lovely subdued fruit forward nose. A hint of vanilla and oak. Super soft. CabSav dominated but has a merlot softness to it. Almost like a blend. Medium finish. So soft. Definitely not what I would expect from a Napa Cab. A nice wine that is in its window.. give it a long decant. Better with food. Drink up now or hold for 2-5 years. I don't think it will get much better.
Steak and blue cheese dinner tonight. Baked potato by Britt.

Hour decant, this has everything you look for in a Napa cabernet, with well expressed dark fruit, enough oak to add complexity without feeling overdone and great acidity and tannins in play that provide excellent structure. More medium bodied than big, with a live mouthfeel and a long finish.

More great winemaking from David Ramey. Drinking well already. Nice dark berries, currants, raspberry. Tannins moderate but a bit bitter. Give it a couple hours of air or a couple of more years so the tannins subside.

Popped and poured at our party. Drinking well, and a good value for CA cab. But old world wines with a bit more age stole the show.
