Very prominent deep oak on this one. I'm thinking new oak chips where used in the wine making process. Over all good balance and a pleasantly long finish of... you guessed it, oak. Aromas of spice, cardamom, sweet lemon, fresh green apple, and vanilla. Tastes of buttered pecan, lemon curd, apple, vanilla, and old colonial oak. One of my new favorites under $20. Definitely worth a try for the old school oak lovers. Cheers!

Relatively new to the market, Notable Chardonnay comes in two versions, one for the oaky-buttery crowd and the other a crisp stainless steel ferment. This being the oak-laden version, with palate drenching caramel, praline, bruised pear, and lemon drop. Silky on entry with orchard fruit at the core neatly folded into toast that is most prominent on the back palate along with a touch of lemon pith. It’s silky on entry, with moderate weight and plenty of lushness. Nice persistence, very old-school. Sample

Over oaked, and lacked balance....I feel like they were covering up a bad Chardonnay with too much oak. No typical Chardonnay grape scents.
