  • Pale straw in colour with some shades of green. A restrained nose of lemon fruit, minerals with a touch of fresh grass. The mouthfeel is unctuous with the fruit being joined by a maritime influence (oyster shell), the suggestion of fennel all with a fine mineral bed. Very clean with nice complexity. Finishes medium long with well judge acidity. Very well made and a true pleasure to drink.

  • Aroma: herbal and floral aromas with some citrus and minerals.
Palate: creamy mineral-inflected grapefruit and lime flavors. Considerable mineral backbone. Brightly acidic. A touch of nuttiness. Fairly complex.

  • 13,5% alcohol, 1 g/l residual sugar, 5,7 g/l acidity.

Youthful grassy green color. Very fruit-forward and exotic nose with aromas of sweet banana, ripe mango, some stone dust and a hint of reductive gunpowder smoke. The wine is dry and moderately full-bodied on the palate with rather mineral-driven flavors of wet stones, tangy citrus fruits, some sweet white peach, a little bit of cantaloupe and mineral hints of saline tang and stone dust. Overall the wine comes across rather weighty with moderately oily mouthfeel, but the moderately high acidity keeps the wine bright and refreshing. The finish is dry, crisp and mineral with moderately long flavors of tart citrus fruits, a little bit of juicy damsons, a hint of cantaloupe and a touch of saline tang.

A nice, fun and tasty Godello with good emphasis on brightness and minerality. The sweet and tropical nose led to expect a much heavier and tropical wine, but it turned out to be surprisingly fresh and savory in style - although as round and weighty as Godellos typically are. The wine might benefit from some aging, but overall it drinks so nicely now that there is no real need to wait any further. A bit pricey at 18,41€, but not prohibitively so.
