Pretty medium golden-yellow color, quite good. On the nose, extra virgin olive oil, and limestone; slight acacia flower scent as well. Limey flavors as well, with good acidity and structure. Maybe it is kind of an acquired taste. Hints of kalamata olives too, or olive tapanade, with mineral, metallic flavor. It is harmonic in its own way, and orderly; with some elegance because of its structure, but not delicious. Some green tea; I agree with my previous notes. Finishes long.

My first Godello, a tasty wine! Very pale lime juice in color and light citrus nose, quite zesty initially on the palate, distinctly grapefruit and kiwi, subsiding to an almost sweet finish. All of this is done very lightly, an interesting wine in that it stood up to jalapeno/soy chicken and garlic cauliflower but seems rather shy on its own. Not a great wine but clean, fresh and vibrant, certainly well worth the price of admission.

Solymer Asia Spanish Dinner (Umberto's Home): No formal notes for this. A native varietal of Valedorras, Godello is indeed an interesting grape. Lovely mouthfeel and weight, slight peaches and mild cirtus. Decent minerality, hints of integrated wood and meatiness. A slightly herbaceous mid-palate which makes this a very unique tasting wine. For a split second this felt a little like a Sauvignon Blanc but that took a very different direction very quickly
