This is really enjoyable -- and for $28, highway robbery. On the nose and on the palate, this shows restrained, cool-inflected red and dark fruits with subtle minerals. It's structured, as you'd expect, but this already has the balance and proportion that I like with 2016. Young but honest and quite tasty with upside.

Consistent with prior note. Tasty, proper Red Burg for a silly cheap price. Jadot did well in '16.

Maison Jadot Cellar Visit and Barrel Tasting (Savigny-les-Beaune): Barrel tasting. Black fruit, very meaty. Somewhat foursquare in the manner of young, firm Beaune, this will need time in the cellar. Good for its level.
