About 45mins of air. On the nose lots of strawberry, dried cherry, cranberry, french oak. The palate was medium + bodied with well balanced acid and a touch of tannin. Good complexity of red and dark fruits on the palate, but not particularly earthy. Very enjoyable especially considering I bought this for $45. Definitely no reason to wait here as this is at its peak; drink within the next few years. Also of note when this was opened the acid was very high and definitely required some air to come into balance.

Tasted blind. Decanted 45min and then maybe 30min in bottle. Glasvin Prestige glass. I guessed 2015 Beaune blind.
Nose showed beautiful tart red fruits. Was initially hard for me to distinguish between cherry, raspberry, strawberry, etc., but over time it clearly is candied strawberry. Palate has plenty of acid that keeps things focused and forward. True strawberry, maybe like the white edge of the strawberry, maybe some raspberries too. There is also some great tension/minerality here. Finish shows off some significant tannins with a tinge from acid.
This is drinking fantastic now and is probably at peak. With time in the glass the structure fully resolves (after about 60-90min) so I think it is in a great place to drink.
91-92, 92 when structure was present, 91 now. Delicious and incredible value at $45 for 2005 Burg 1er Cru!

Earthy notes and a touch of dried cherries. Wonderful texture with light tannins on the finish.
