  • Medium lemon colour. Expressive nose displaying scents of green apple, lemon peel, lemongrass, fennel and hints of fresh apricots and yeast.

It is dry in the mouth with a moderate acidity. It has a high well-integrated alcohol and a full body with a creamy mouthfeel. It has medium+ intensity flavours and a persistent finish.

It is a very good quality wine. It has enough flavour concentration and length, with and interesting texture and a touch of complexity in the nose provided by herbal and yeasty notes. On the other hand the alcohol, albeit well-integrated, makes the wine a bit heavy, specially in combination with the moderate acidity.

  • Gredos (Madrid) Visit 1: Maraņones (Marañones Winery - Madrid Spain): This is a white from the Albillo Reale grape which is an indigenous grape to Gredos. Rose gold in color. The nose has minerals, saline, beeswax and an herbal note. Creamy texture. On the palate, slight peach but again, its the minerals and that herbal quality that dominate. Really enjoyable.
