This is the oldest Tablas Grenache Blanc I have tasted. This has developed a lanolin/wet wool aspect that reminds me of an aged German Riesling. Mostly in the nose, but also apparent in the mouth. Not sure I don't prefer this grape on the younger side. Nothing wrong with this wine, even though it is on the wrong side of CT's drinking window, it is considered "mature" on the Tablas wine chart. Reminds me of what California wineries used to sell as "grey Riesling." Very, very delicate and quite light on its feet. 4-12-15-7: 88/100.

Big, bold flavored GB, 13.9% abv. Lots of Ginger, ripe peach and some quinine on the back end. Good winter-weight white.
I prefer GBs with lower alcohol and frankly with a more graceful character. Possibly I would have enjoyed it more 2017-2018. A coarse alcohol note is prominent.

Nice earthy nose, with hints of white rose petals, sourdough, and ripe citrus. It has a creamy texture, with muted acidity and flavors of apricots, white peaches, and beeswax. I do think it benefited from a year or two of bottle age.

Refreshing Rhone, lemon/lime fruit, wet stones, strong mineral element.
