A really delicious wine. Nose of chocolate, wet animal, leather and orange zest. On the palate this is savory fruit (red to dark red and purple) with fine grained tannins, medium plus acidity and a great cherry finish.

In the bouquet hints of animal notes, the palate: dusty dark cherries, earth, rose petals, fragrant floral flauvors, dried apricot (thanks Djarcara), figs, good acidity and still present tannins, enjoyable and good now. Evolves and gets better in the course of the evening, after 2-4 hours there is more depth and power, all this promises long age and future development. A special wine and a strong vintage.

Dark cherry, plum, dried apricot, and tobacco flavors predominate. The fruit is fading slightly, yet the tannins are still fairly pronounced. Drinking well now and has at least five more years before a significant decline. Decant for sediment.

Deep purple color with mild bricking on the edges. Fragrant nose of roses. Still very acidic. Tannins are mild. Needs at least a hour of air before drinking. The fruit has faded a lot. Dark fruit is still predominant with secondaries flavors of cinnamon, leather, and earth. Decant for there is a lot of sediment. Drink now and over the next five years.

Rich, earthy and a bit damp. Decadent, dried strawberries. Well structured, still quite tannic. I wonder if it will continue to improve with time.
