Among the lesser-priced wines, this would rank high in my list. It's got good balance, elegance and a delicate velvety touch that so many wines in its class just don't have. Flavors of dark berries, chocolate, tobacco, oak and plum notes are present. Admittedly, it lacks the complexity, but it's smooth, ripe and juicy. Can't ask for more at this price point. Drink now until 2013.

Smelled of cheese and must (but we weren't positive that it was corked, we don't think it was). Tasted cheesy, some must, dark fruit, really overpowering. We decanted for an hour and it go so much worse. Ended up pouring it down the sink it had become so undrinkable. Seemed to go flat very quickly.

Woah! Who knew the equivalent of a California Table Wine could be so good. This was one of food and wine magazines top 10 under $10 and they clearly know what they are talking about. Remarkably spicy and fruit-forward with a long finish for such a young Cab. Buy lots of this and make it your house wine (if Los Vascos isn't already in that category like it is in my house)
