PnP, consumed over 3 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium garnet. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with aromas of black cherry, earth, tobacco, and fennel with hints of rose petal. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, pronounced grippy tannins, medium body, medium intensity, 14.5% abv with developing flavors of sour cherry, spice, and fennel and a medium+ finish. Overall a very good wine excelling in complexity and length, needs an hour or two of air if opening today - better in 2 years and 5+ after that.

Lovely nose, lifted, black cherries, flowers and tar, hint of forest floor, orange and white nuts, good depth; generous black cherries on the full bodied (14.5% ABV) palate, rich but fresh, firm but ripe tannins buffered by ample flesh; the tight finish is a bit light, but has very good aromatic resonance and length. At restaurant Ron Gastrobar *, Amsterdam, NL.
