Always excited to find I have a couple more bottles than I thought, so busted this out to ring out the year before Drynuary. PnP, garnet rim, super fragrant nose with seemingly all the red fruits, some violet, leather, forest floor, some herbs and stems too. A little bitterness on the initial finish but it went away. Felt a bit more full bodied than 13% ABV. Decent, medium finish. Some residual tannins. Lots more life left, but ready to drink now and better with a few hours of air. Held up well on Day 2 with lamb chops. Happy to have a couple more bottles to see how this evolves.

Cloudy in the glass with a garnet rim. Raspberry, red cherry, violet/rose and pine nuts on the nose. Raspberry and cranberry on the palate with a green herbal/bell pepper note - almost pulling towards a Loire Cab Franc in expression. High tingling acidity (lactate style?) and smooth tannins in the long after taste.
In a very good spot showing maturity but still with intact fruit.

My word, this is good! Domaine de la côte Bloom’s field 2015. Seductive nose with fresh raspberry, cranberries, toffee, cola, mild spice, wet forest floor and hints of violet. Surprisingly fresh red fruits on the first taste. Velvety mouthfeel with elegant tannins, fresh acidity and complex fruit, spice, earthy and herbal notes in a beautiful balance. Seamless, nuanced and looooong finish, driven by sour red fruits, mild spice and a slight earthyness. Fabulously elegant and quaffable - just need an hour per glass to dvelve in the perfume and velvety structure.

Wonderfully complex, surprisingly mature. Would have guessed GC Vosne
