  • Tasting and Sale at Mood Indigo (Jalan Kilang Barat, Singapore): Not the most complex of wines, but this was certainly good and gave quite a bit of enjoyment. It had a very nice nose for a start, showing lush dark fruit scents, with dark cherries and plums, lots of wood spice, some dried, dusty earth, dried flowers and a slightly meaty background. The palate was marked by a layer of powdery tannins that dusted the mouth, forming the backdrop for pure dark cherry flavours on the attack, some black and blue berries following that, and then a bit of orange peel and kumquats on a long, fresh finish that was sprinkled with flowers and spice. Very nice. Some class here. Drinking decently well, but it should get better with a couple more years under its belt.
