Medium ruby; much darker than your usual Pinot and the nose is distinct with black fruit, cinnamon and vanilla spice. Blackcurrant, black cherry, vanilla, baking spice and cedar all feature and all the sweetness of American oak. Fantastic length. Really drinking well. Potentially controversial for a Burgundian purist but really enjoyed this.

Beautiful, fun wine that is drinking perfectly right now. First comment is that this is very big for a Pinot. Dinner included salmon and steak and this held up to the steak just fine—we couldn’t have selected a better wine to complement both. Quite a bit more fruit than I expected but the mineralality (slate) was coming through for a nice finish. There was no discoloration and very well balanced with ample acidity to make it last for another 3+ years. Last of this vintage but I’m hoping the longevity will be consistent in the later vintages I have.

PnP, chilled and left in glass for 30 mins to warm and open up. Clear, purple/red hue, long legs. tight nose. Big for a Pinot which was expected and very astringent. Black and Blue fruit, rich, powerful, earthy, grippy, hard to guess it's Pinot, definitely not Bulgarian style. Very long finish. Nothing off. $68 winery direct.
Need to hold. Upon open sour but acid. Opened up nicely and eorked eith paprika pork tenderloin. Have good potential for h fun pod match. Needs more age.
