Jorge Ordonez has another big-time winner here with a beautiful wine from 100+-year-old Verdejo vines. This single-vineyard bottling is a definite step-up from the regular Nisia. which is half the price and delicious as well. The Las Suertes was lush and plush, with citrusy flavors and excellent length and silkiness. This was a great pairing with our second white-wine course -- sea scallops in a creamy Dijon buerre blanc sauce -- at our wine group dinner last night at Two Chefs.

Jorge Ordonez Tasting; 7/11/2019-7/12/2019 (St. Paul, MN): Wow is this good! Normally not a Verdejo drinker but this is from 100 year old vines. Red clay soil and sand. Fragrant with limestone, floral, stone fruits, matchstick and a touch of sweetness on the finish. Medium plus finish and super complex wine. Price point around $30 a bottle. I highly recommend it.

Xmas eve 17 (Tina's House): (Perceptions may have been skewed by an oncoming cold) as intriguing and complex as the first bottle but this one showed more oak and flab.

End of summer poolside cocktail party (Gary & Cindy's): A fascinating wine with a myriad of juxtaposed elements. It's creamy but with acidic cut, has citric flavors but also orchard fruits and delicious yet provocative. It offers semblances of numerous other grapes. Fine effort.
