  • Not much change from two years ago when I noted “nose of black cherry, sour cherry, herbs, and forest floor.” The very much captures the nose and palate of the wine. And what you detect on opening is what you’ll find in the last drop; just not much evolution over the course of the dinner even though the wine was decanted. Almost no sediment. 13.1% alc. With seared tuna under balsamic glaze with sautéed mushrooms which worked well with the wine. 05.02.24. Recommended.

  • Lovely floral nose, light red fruit and showing some nice development of spices. Mid weight palate, mid length and nice balance. Nice energy and density, tasty.

  • Pop and pour and tasted with food (eggplant in a black bean and garlic sauce, and NY Strip Steak, in case you were wondering).
    Dark purple; clear.
    Nose offers black fruits and black plums, with a hint of wood-smoke and licorice root.
    Flavors of rich dark fruits, leaning just a hint towards stewed fruits.
    Sufficient acidity on the mid-palate. Takes on a slight smoky quality on the finish with brown spice giving added nuance.
