Just entering its drinking window. Stored since release in cellar. Definitely get the oak on opening but decanted and drank over 6 hours and opened up beautifully. Drink now or over 10+ years no signs of age

No formal note, this had the makings of a lot of heavily oak influenced flavors but after a four hour decant this mellowed out into a fine bottle of wine that was not overtipped in any direction.

Saturday night at Davyd's place. Aired for 4 hours in bottle. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purple colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of toasted vanilla oak, dark red plums, spice. Developing. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, fine medium+ tannins, full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of toasted vanilla oak, dark red plums, dried black cherries, blackberries, licorice, spice, coffee beans. Long finish. Very good quality. Approachable but still young. This will improve with further ageing over the next 5 years.
