  • Slight bricking at the rim - after 6 hours air: menthol, dried plums & cinnamon on the nose. Slightly sharp and acidic on the palate, grainy tannins - meaty notes. This was purchased and consumed in BKK, and I suspect has aged prematurely, however not overtly heat damaged.

  • First wine I've ever sampled from the Douro, and I'm blown away. An incredible bargain, and a very enjoyable wine - plums, currants and some herbs on the nose, rich and full bodied in the mouth with concentrated dark fruits, chewy tannins and a long finish.

  • What a plesant surprise! Ripe currant on nose with a bid of smoke. Quiet creamy in on pallet with huge tannin (but texture is quite fine). Good balance acidity. What's more to ask for for this price range?... 2nd bottle on June 5 and experience is constant. One thing I should also point out is the extrordinary concentration on pallet in this price range. Very nice wine.
