Feb 2021 - great QPR for an under $10 wine. Drinking really well right now in 2021, after a 2 hour decant. Fruit is not overbearing and jammy. Smooth, moderate levels of tannin. Not complex but has enough variety on the nose and palette to hold your attention. Graphite (pencil lead), ripe black fruit, long bitter finish. Full body, silky mouthfeel. Nice oak, without being overbearing. Attractive label.

Ruby with hints of violet, medium legs, minimal rim variation. Aromas of red berries predominate: strawberry, cranberry, raspberry. Hint of light toast. On the palate, red berries remain the central impression with a bit of clove and tea emerging. Light/medium body, bright and simple texture. Finish is medium, acidity is medium plus. Impression: friendly red wine that may even appeal as an introduction to reds for white drinkers. Finishes longer than I'd expect of a simple Spanish Garnacha. This wine and the Rose' of same brand are becoming reliable producers for us. Bought on sale at $6, so QPR above average. Drink now.

I was gifted this bottle by a co-worker. I believe it’s about $10 retail. Taking that in to consideration, this is a nice value. Not sure I’ve ever had a $10 wine that is actually drinkable.
It’s extracted and manipulated aromatically with blackberry preserves, baked dark berry pie, and licorice. The mouthfeel is actually solid...not wonky/flabby at all. Oak, overripe red, blue and black fruits, and a touch of typical Grenache pepper. Simple and fruity. Hard to ask for more from a $10 bottle.

Over ripe berries, stewed fruits & spice with enough structure that it doesn't become super flabby.
30 min decant helps!
