N: Slightly closed; Brambleberries, some toast; Showing some complexities, but tough to parse; Intensity lurking?
P: Med, poss LM, body; NICE, almost swtish frt met by bracing acidity. Drinking VERY nicely with the stuffing to continue doing so through '20, POSS longer. My EXC-/EXC, certainly when one consider's COSTCO's $14.99. [As of early Aug '19, wine-searcher still shows 2 sources @ $23 & $27].

N: Closed; Earth slight atop cherries which opens attractively
P: Med body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by a bit of astringent pucker which quite resolves as it transitions into a LONG, BALANCED finish with a tangy/swtness to the few, firming tannins. At its zenith (?), though I'd expect it to hold another 12-18 mos without significant decline. My EXC-/EXC, certainly when one consider's COSTCO's $14.99. PnP; Private Preserve after Days 1 & 2
P: LM body; NICE, almost swtish frt met by a BIT of astringent pucker which fairly seamlessly transitions into a LONG, spicy, tangy/swt (60:40) finish to the relatively few dusty tannins. Went QUITE well with Homemade Chx Chili [with Chx Broth & Wht Beans rather than Tomatoes & Dk Beans] on both Days 1 & 2, + still had "enough" to accompany Kung Pao Chx & Beef on Day 3. Drink now & through '21? My EXC-/EXC, certainly when one consider's COSTCO's $14.99.

a well make non fruit bomb zinfandel. Unfortunately nothing memorable about the wine but that it was not offensive.
