Still big and juicy the heat was not to be found, lovely bold but balanced wine. Was going to give this more time but it was closed with a plastic stopper and my experience is that they are not good for that. Anyway it was good with Italian Sausage.

Day 1: A bit thin and too much alcohol. Muted fruit and disjointed. Some spice and shorter finish. An easy pass. 80 points Day 2: What a difference a day makes. Plum, spice, black licorice and bay leaves. Alcohol has mostly blow off. This is very drinkable. Decant if you plan on consuming on day 1. 85 points Day 3: Similar to day 2 experience. Recommendation: I would actually hold these a few years. Not ready. The transformation from day 1 to 2 was large.

I bought this wine for friends that like the overripe style. This wine does a excellent job in that style but even more than that it doesn’t use oak clips to get flavor. Great with sausage

Big and Bold. Holds up well to Italian sausage, grapes and polenta.

Big bold lush wine, slight sweetness, slight heat( 15%) developed tannins and juicy. Worked great with meal.
