  • Deep garnet color. Takes an hour or two to unwind revealing aromas of blackberry, plum, bouquet garni, cinnamon and vanilla. Full bodied and surprisingly deft, palate is saturated with black fruit flavors combined with savory elements and spiced notes. Solid structure. Tannins are fine grained with significant grip that gives way to long evenly distributed finish. Lovely now but should drink well for at least a decade.

  • Pronounced on the nose, plum, liquorice and leather. On the palate, smooth and fruity with nice tannins that probably will be even better with more aging. Long and delicate finish. Very good wine.

  • Color is deep red/purple. Nose : Plum, something funky, vanilla and a hint of orange. On the palate: Plum , spice, vanilla and a hint of menthol. A very round flavor profile. Soft tannins. Nice mouthfeel. Good wine and good value.

  • Best of Spain Zoom tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, inky purple colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of vanilla milk oak, coffee, black plums, dark fruits. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), plush and very rounded soft medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black plums, dark red plums, boysenberries, oak spices, cinnamon, vanilla milk, coffeebean. Long oaky finish. An oak lovers wine. Maybe needs a few more years to integrate the oak more. Tannins very approachable already. I'm not an anti-oak snob, but just wondering why this is so highly rated by most of the critics.
90% Tempranillo, 10% field blend of Graciano and some Garnacha.
