Creamy red berries in the bouquet. Herbs and spices as well. On the palate creamy berries and cherries, green bell pepper, butter, medium plus acidity and round tannin. Still a bit too young. Next bottle not before 2023.

Decent for its price, but found this to be a rather simple wine. A very dark and bigger than expected wine at 14.5%. Red fruit, earth, and some herbaceous notes. Some brine like flavors reminiscent of black olives, and surprising alcohol warmth down the throat.

Very dark, reticent in the nose, somewhat herbal and drying in the taste — but I'm sure this is due to its youth. A very well made Canon Fronsac. Needs time to smooth out. Ample glycerin. Alcohol listed as 14.5% — interesting, since as few as 20 years ago 12.5% was considered standard. 85% merlot, 15% cabernet franc. This estate has been in the same family since 1805. Good value.

Red and black berries in the bouquet and on the palate. A pleasant dose of oak and good acidity. Very likeable wine in its early maturity stage.

Creamy ripe berries in the bouquet and on the palate, soft herbs acidity and tannin. Nice and round wine still in its young maturity stage.
