  • Bold, with a leather, tobacco and dark fruit flavor. Semi smooth finish. Better after opened and decanted for about 30 minutes

  • 1 hr decant brought to midlothianchefskichen (favorable corkage policy). Had with Filet and mushroom gnocchi.

    Super dark
    Very aromaitic in the glass
Alcohol integreated well (you feel it more that taste it)
Vanilla, coconut, red and black fruit, cassis, integrated tannins, good acid (more than I expected based on the color and the sweet nose, which was great as the acid keep it fresh). Kept giving more all the way through desert 2 bours later. This was good, definately on the hedonisitic side (this hit the spot tonight as we have been in spain for last 2 weeks so was nice change to come back and try a Napa cab).

Full of jammy red fruits and ripe black fruits, sweet spices, dried herbs, with some gentle smoke and tobacco. Pleasant, pinpoint acidity, silky smooth, well integrated tannins. This is such an incredibly balanced wine, and it delivered everything at this price point, I personally would say it's at its best drinking window, but can it go further ? With such precision and intensity, I would say yes. Drink or hold.

  • I find this to be drinking well. Initial glass was PNP. The tannins were still evident and the finish ran 30+ seconds from mid-tongue to the back. One hour later, jammy and the tannins seem to have dissipated.

  • A good tannin structure with notes of raspberry and minerals. A bit disappointed being a 2014. Expected a smother finish.
