Pulled the cork on this 3 hours in adavance of pouring (no decanter avaiable) and found a potentiallly very good botlle but for my pallet it is still very young and in need of many years to achieve greatness. All the components were there just needs time. Maybe if I had a decanter it would have shown better.

Squarely in its drinking window, this checked all the boxes for me. Ripe black cherry, black currant, coffee and cigar box lead the way, with hints of tar emerging on the modestly tannic finish. Oak is assertive yet balanced, and I was pleasantly surprised by the lively acidity that keeps it feeling fresh throughout. Great structure, and a delicious wine.

Actually quite nice. It’s not stellar, but there’s lots of acidity here and good balance. Probably not a great value but it’s really not bad.
