One of the best aged Cote-Roties I've ever had. On the nose: soft ash, blackberry, charred cherry, game, wet leaf. On the palate, fantastic acidity, great depth and density; dried leaf, soft cedar, dried blackberry, olive brine...just amazing salinity..almost completely savory. Attenuated tannin. At peak, and utterly captivating.

Some good Cote Rotie depth and funkiness on the nose with dark spice underneath. Rewarding palate but drying a little on the finish. While not a standout well-made and enjoyable.

Just stunning. Took almost 1 hr to open up. Much Better than the 85 Gentaz from a few weeks ago; makes me wonder if that bottle was off. Loads of smoke and game and blood and grilled meat. On the palate, black raspberry, followed by blood and intense herbal notes. Fantastic acidity still and soft tannin on the finish. If this bottle is indicative, this has peaked, but will hold strong for a while. Wow.
