Another wine to remind one that 'the spirit is supreme, where the wild thing roam' (Electric Ocean, The Cult). Naturally, as a dialectical materialist I reject the notion, for I am therefore I think, not I think therefore I am (or in my case, I stink, therefore I am). The circumstances in which we live are supreme, where the class struggle roams. That is kind of catchy, isn't it?
Well, whatever one thinks of the versions of existence set out above, this wine is damned fine. It really hasn't changed much since 2019 when I first slammed it. The combination of taught ginger flower and restrained fruit blossoming over time into exuberant ripe tropicals and slate is almost more than my senses can handle.
I am a bit surprised by the accurate but somewhat bloodless reviews on site, but such is life. For me, it is as Woody Guthrie wrote 'This machine kills Fascists'. Sadly, this is their time. They won and now we just watch their factions argue over the spoils, with only Clemens Busch to redeem us.

Pop and pour. Notes from Day 3 open. Still singing. On the nose:.peach, lemon, soft honey, soft herbs. On the palate: amazing acidity and density, salt, peach, lemon, stone and a lovely mineral finish. Excellent.

The 2016 Fahrlay GG from Clemens Busch is linear and precise. Not very weighty or rich. This is classy and very fine. The nose is rather extroverted with powder sugar, apple/peach candy, lemon, nectar, pear and vineyard herbs. Nice acidity, super length and balance. Minerality in wine is a touchy subject for me, but It's tough to describe the taste as anything but liquid slate. Really great GG! With many years ahead of it.

Claus og Charlotte. Frisk men tegn på alder og oxydation. Lækre citrusnoter domineret af grape

24 hours bottle decant at cellar temp.
Nice and cheap. Great QPR. But not as impressive as Fahrlay-Terrassen.
