0634/1080, blind. High acidity, lean on nose, oak in the background, could be a toss between Saint Aubin and Chassagne depending on the stylistic interpretation (which is a modern and popular yummy reduction). HD in that the flavors are concentrated, but the palate shows weight matching the appellation, or maybe even less. Not much of the vintage mark, concentrated yellow fruit and intensity stand out. Even better with a quick decant which pushes the flavors towards broadness. With that said, the premium over the regular cuvee is beyond me. 93

The highly sought-after Hubert Lamy Haute Densité is more reserved and concentrated than the ordinary cuvee, a slight step up in concentration but a huge step up in price. 30,000 vines/ hectare, planted in 2001. Magnum 44/125. Dense array of lime and green apples. Lots of dry-extract and energy. Rounded and creamy on the mid-palate with refreshing acidity. Good intensity but not “electric” and certainly very expensive for what it is. (87/100)

Magnum. Wow, so rich and dense. Creamy and electric at one. Still just a baby with upside from here.

Some Wine Tasted at the Acker La Paulée Auction (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Tasted at auction. Rich and energetic at the same time, this comes across as a real powerhouse. The rare 2016 white that seems exciting.

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Small La Paulee pour. Again showcasing lemon, lemon curd and lemon peel with wonderful floral charm and elegance. Long and powerful with great balance. Upside from here.
