Grand Jury du Vin - Republic of Georgia; 11/1/2023-11/9/2023 (Republic of Georgia then stopover in Paris and Dijon): expressive nose displaying concentrated pure yellow citrus fruit, honey, honeysuckle, a hint of vanilla/oak and mineral. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of super rich yet pure yellow fruit, oily and dense but also weightless, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long concentrated pure yellow fruit driven finish with honeysuckle at the end. This is super concentrated yet beautifully balanced.

This has barely evolved. There's smoky mineral and fresh lemons to the aroma. It is compact and linear with a steely backbone. It has so much fruit intensity and wonderful cut. It still requires plenty of cellar time.

Ripe orchard fruit and crushed stone notes. On the palate, ripe peach and pear flavors prelude an attractive saline minerality. Intense and concentrated. The 2015 Derrière Chez Edouard Cuvée Haute Densité will benefit from time. Drink starting 2022.

Extremely tight, dense and chalky. There are powerful orchard fruits lurking below but for now they’re bound up in the wine’s considerable structure. It has so much intensity and will be majestic once it unfurls.

Superb potential here. Tight, dense, linear and shy. Some aniseed spice and compact fruit flavours.
