  • Very good moderate climate Syrah. Aromas are herb and chaparral driven, with a bit of tobacco. Somewhat nervous on the palate with acidity peeking out occasionally. Mid weight, fairly linear in the middle, with a lightly tannic and herb-driven finish. This drinks more like a straight cool climate Syrah, which seems in line with the vintage. I usually tend to think of Los Alamos as a region that crosses the brawn and intensity of warmer climates with the feral character of cooler climates.

    Drink or hold.
